nausea remedies
I have had nausea off/on for years now even before byetta. Recently
with the byetta it’s gotten worse and I don’t want to take medicine
for that too (i’m trying to minimalize the number of medicines i’m
on to see what’s really needed and what am i taking that’s just
treating a side effect from another medicine)
I use the Sea-Band Wristband and they work sometimes for mild nausea.
I tried ginger gum but it’s just not enough.
Just one drop is all that’s needed. yes it is "hot" in your mouth
but it does help the nausea. a good side effect is it clears my
stuffy head up a little LOL.
The only prescription I do keep on hand is for Zofran ODT but I
don’t like taking it too often because it makes me sleepy.
What else is everyone using?
Thanks, Linda

Hi Linda:
That’s good to know about. You can also buy sliced ginger; the kind they
serve with Sushi at most grocery stores. It comes in a jar in water which I
rinse off because it has a funny sweet taste but once you do that it’s sugar
free. I don’t get nauseaus from the byetta but on the rare occasions that I’ve
had a stoamch, a good old standby that works pretty fast is Pepto Bismol. It
turns your stool black and isn’t something to do every day but it will stop
those really bad waves of naseau almost immediately.
