Newbie here…

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Hi all, I enjoy reading all the good advice here sinse my dr.
directed me towards this wonder drug. I’ve been on it a total
of 2 whole days now. I haven’t had a "full feeling" and haven’t
had any nausea. Is it too soon to feel anything? I’m still
hungry though. I know I started the pen correctly and I’m assuming
it’s injecting correctly. any advice?

Newbie…with questions…

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

I have been on Byetta for 2 whole days now. I don’t have any nausea and
I am still feeling hungry. I don’t have the ‘full’ feeling. Should I
give it more time or what has been the time table to when you felt
nauseated or ‘full’?? Thanks! Dianne

Early Storage Question

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Hi,
I just read on the storage instruction (in the pamphlet inside the box
the Byetta comes in) that Byetta should be refrigerated when it’s still in the
box! It also says to refrigerate it after opening, but BEFORE got me.
I’ve been getting my pens from the Doctor’s office and they keep them
inside a cabinet. Could that be why I’ve been less than successful lowering my
numbers from "the get-go?" I’ve been very nauseated, so something is
working…argh (tho I’m taking Compazine occasionally for that now).
I’ve received two pens from the doc’s office. Both were in the cabinets
with other samples. They’ve been such a big help since we’re in the
process of changing insurance.
Anyway…is Byetta supposed to be refrigerated before opening? Is that
the way you would get it from the Pharmacy? Already refrigerated?
Thanks for any help. I really don’t want to call the doctor’s office
with this and be wrong.

Question about flying with Byetta

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

I have just booked a flight to Chicago for my High school reunion so I
will be flying on Southwest Airlines and need to know about restrictions
about flying with Byetta.

I do not trust that it would not over heat. I also need the info on the
package that you wet to keep cool as, I live in Texas, and with having
to get to the airport an hour ahead, I am afraid that it will get really
warm before I land, (I plan to carry it on)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Hi,

I have been on Byetta - 10 units twice daily. At first this seemed like the
miracle drug at first; however, it no longer seems to be working. In addition
to Byette I take Levimer 10 units twice daily and also Fortamet 1000 twice
daily.(Glucophage).

Lately my numbers are all over the place and I am puzzled. I am seeing a nurse
practitioner and am concerned.

Can I have opinions please - like is this a lot of meds.

I am age 63-woman.

BTW when I get too high I take Prandin 2 or 4 mg.

Sick!

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

Hello y’all! I am a 45 year old somewhat beginner of Byetta. I have
just joined a few weeks ago. Today I was flying out of town. My
flight was at 6:30AM so I waited till I got to the airport to give
myself my shot. I decided to get a meal at McDonalds because it was
the only thing open! I ate a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, hash
brown and orange juice. I have been struggling with the nauseau
since I started Byetta in December of 2006. I have it almost every
day and it’s worse in the mornings. I bought the Sea Bands and put
them on this morning. I have tried Ginger Ale and Ginger Snaps. I
still have the sick stomach! Well……this morning, I got on the
flight and about half way through the flight, I started feeling
sick! I lost my entire breakfast in the airplane restroom! I am
thinking that WHAT I ate had more effect than anything! McDonalds
breakfast no longer appeals to me - to say the least!!! Do you guys
get sicker with the type of food you eat? What would be a good
