		<description>Thanks Dan. I posted that comment. I just test mornings and bedtimes....hardly
ever before or after meals. My numbers are usually in the 80 to 110 range. My
last 2 fasting glucose tests have been within 5 points of what the meter said
that morning.

I just did an fasting glucose blood draw this morning....my meter number was
91...I won't have the fasting glucose results back for a few days.

My endo says I am doing just fine the way I do it. I only take a long acting
insulin (Lantus) + Byetta + metformin pills.

Testing on the arm has not been an issue with any of the doctors or nurses I
have talked to about it over the past three years.

Thanks again,
&lt;!--more--&gt;

&#34;I find it a lot easier and less painful to poke blood samples from the
arm...either up near the elbow area or down closer to the wrist but never
the fingers.&#34;

You might want to consult your meter manual and/or the company 800 customer
service number. All alternative testing site meters I have seen say that
when glucose levels are changing quickly such as 2 hours or so after
eating, any site but finger tips can produce an unreliable number. The
fasting and between meal numbers are similar regardless of test site.
