Waving Good-Bye
Well, ladies and germs, I guess this is my farewell post…
Saw the doctor about my ITCHING and looks like I was right. I AM
allergic to the Byetta injections. Probably something in the solution,
a preservative or something, but allergic just the same.
He said he was surprised I kept up the injections for 2 1/2 months with
the itching I was having, especially the hives (which could have been
dangerous!), but now that I’ve been off the spit for 2 weeks+, the
itching and hives are TOTALLY gone. Can’t get more "on the money" than
that!
So…I guess I will bid a fond good-bye to all you Spit-lovers and wish
you well on your journey. Byetta is a fantastic tool in the fight
against Diabetes for those who can tolerate it. Good luck and I pray it
will be the answer for you.
My a1C was 6.9…so doc is having me just drop the Byetta and continue
on my regular meds (Actos-Met), 30 min exercise every day and counting
the carbs, and see where we are in 3 months. I can’t say I am sorry to
say goodbye to the shots! hee hee
Hugs to all!

But you are STILL diabetic right????
Well so are we!! So stay here!!!

Life is not measured by the numbers of breaths that we take,
But by the moments that take our breath away!
