I have noticed that when I eat more carbs the I crave more and more. this is
true with or without Byetta. So maybe what you are eating is different. I
haven't noticed a difference in different pens. I am on my first pen of the 3 I
got in the mail.

Pam

Has anyone noticed any inconsistancy in their Byetta? I have to order mine and
so I get 3 months supply at a time. When I started the last 3 months I thought
it must have stopped working for me. Not much full feeling, no upset tummy and
started wanting to eat everything in sight again. My numbers stayed pretty good
though so I just figured it must have stopped working for me as far as helping
with the food.

Now I've started the new 3 months supply and what a difference. Am full
<!--more-->
immediately, started belching all the time again and have more energy back. Am
wondering if my last order could have gotten too cold during shipping or if it
just wasn't a "good" batch.

My Byetta has not been quite the *magic* this month that it had been the
previous three. I've had more problems dealing with hunger - however, like
you, my BG has been fine. So.... that would probably mean there is nothing
wrong with the medication itself. It is doing exactly what it was designed
to do - help keep our BG at a steady number. The rest of it is kind of like
a bonus - some people never get the bonus, some people get it all the time,
<!--more-->
and some of us get it sometimes. I really think for some of us our body
needs periods of readjustment and 'settling' and then, hopefully, the bonus
will start back again.

I was discouraged when I had my weigh-in at Curves this morning - my weight
stayed exactly the same as it was a month ago - but, I did lose 1/2" in my
waistline and 1/2" in my abdomen. I also know I didn't get quite as much
exercise as usual - 3 days a week instead of 4; and there were times when I
was not as stringent with my eating plan as I have been. So, perhaps there
is a chance the Byetta does not benefit me as well when I am not quite as
cautious.

The reason I don't think it is a bad pen is because I have two pens - one at
work and one at home and it is the same thing with both.
