traveling with Byetta
I was told that the manufacturer/marketers can say as long as it does not
sit in the hot car on the hot beach, it does not need all that traveling
cold stuff, unless of course you are going to the American southwest or some
hot place like that. Right now I am in usa’s midatlantic state of NY and it
is no where near hot enough for me to worry about the temp. I am not going
to spend unnecessary money

Byetta still advertises the travel pack as part of their free Welcome Kit on
their website. I still haven’t received the one they said I would receive
but I mentioned a few weeks ago that I had purchased a Medi-Fridge Micro
Cooler and this thing works great. The ice pack (comes with 2) supposedly
keeps your pen cool for 16 hours. The longest I’ve gone with mine was 13
hours and the pack was still fairly solid. It would all depend on the
ambient temperature of your surroundings. There’s two pockets on top where
you can tote pen needles, alcohol swabs, or your oral meds. I keep mine on
top of the fridge so I can grab it any time I need to take my pen with me.
I paid under $20 for the setup and it arrived from FL to AK in just a couple
days.
