Quacks
This person who claims to have beaten it does sound like a quack if he
thinks he does not need his meds or anything else to be <6.0 A1C. My
diabetes educator is now down to a health weight for _her_ and she always
repeats that every diabetic is different. She still has to take medication.
She still tests her sugar. Not every diabetic realizes they have it as we
all know. I didn’t know but my pcp was suspicious.
Now that you have said that the author was in a diabetic coma when he was
diagnosed then It makes sense, however it cannot be beaten, we have to be
vigilant even when we are at the target weight bg, bp, cholesterol, etc.
This is not a game.
However every serious chronic illness has its nutters claiming to have
cures. Dozens have insane ideas about curing Alzheimer’s Disease and of
course there are conspiracy buffs, my favorite nutters.
I did go to the Diabetes Monitor website and they claim to abide by the HON
code so I hope they take that nutter off the site.
