Introduction-Newbie
My name is Denene and I am from Oklahoma. I am a new diabetic I was
diagnosised last Tuesday. I am getting ready to start taking Byetta. I
haven’t started yet we are having trouble getting it approved for me to
take it by the insurance. What a royal pain in the rear end. Anyways. I
am hoping in the next few days and by the weekend I will be starting
it. It would be nice to have the weekend to start it when I am home all
weekend and can start using the Byetta Pen.
I would like to know the Pro’s and con’s you have found to
taking Byetta! I look forward to your responses and meeting everyone.
I am married by the way and Don is a LPN. I have a medical
alert service dog ‘lady’ who alerts me to my sugars being to low or to
high so I can take the proper action and if I am to low and don’t
respond to her she will get help for me.
My mother is a type 2 diabetic on insulin and my granddad was on
insulin as well type 2 and died due to complications of diabetes. I am
not going to end up on insulin if I can prevent it and won’t die to
complications from my diabetes either if I can help it. This is why I
am trying to learn and prevent and take care of me. Thanks alot and
sorry for rattling and for this is so long.
