Also curious about the subject of meal frequency. It has been pounded into
my head that we should be eating 6 small meals a day vs. 3 bigger meals. I'm
wondering if anybody actually follows that kind of regime while on byetta.
&#62;&#62;

*Yes, the timing is difficult. I always wait at least 15 minutes after my
shot to eat and find the appetite suppression seems to work best if I wait
30 minutes so that is what I strive for. I always refill my meds five days
before the 30 days is up so, after three months, I am &#34;ahead&#34; - meaning I
can leave the old one at work and start the new one at home. *
**
*I get up at 4:10 AM and leave for work at 5AM and get to work at 6AM. Due
&lt;!--more--&gt;
to the traffic, I don't want to eat and drive and 4:00 is just to early for
me to eat. So, if my FBG is good I wait until I get to work then take the
Byetta and eat 30 minutes later at my desk (I keep cereal and milk and Fiber
One bars at work).*
**
*My timing problem is the evening. I can't take my shot before I leave work
because it takes me anywhere from 1 - 2 hours to get home (I hate Houston
traffic). So I take it right when I walk in the door - which frustrates my
husband because that is when everybody wants to eat. So, I just sit with
them while they eat and about the time they are done I pop my plate in the
microwave a minute and they talk with me while I eat. Not the greatest
solution, but it is a compromise and it is working.
*
*As for your question about how many meals. I eat a bowl of cereal for
breakfast and a small piece of fruit (6:30 AM). At 9:30 A.M. I eat 2-3
brazil nuts. I eat a medium size lunch at noon - usually a salad or steamed
veggies - sometimes a PBJ. At 3:30 I either eat a banana or other piece of
fruit - or, if is my Curves day, I have a Fiber One bar. I leave work at
4:45 and get home (or to Curves) around 6:15. I eat whatever my husband has
fixed for dinner; however, I eat smaller portions than in the past. I have
a scoop of Breyers low-carb ice cream immediately after dinner and then
nothing else the rest of the night since I've already had a late dinner at
6:30ish.

<description>Andrea, I dont use milk at all. Soy milk is my substitute for it. I very
seldom have coffee. I didnt know that about Vit. C. Ive been taking that for y
ears with no side effects. It seems if something has side effects, Im going to
get them. It got so bad yesterday between vomiting from the nausea, acid reflux,
headaches, and diarrhea that I called my DR this morning and as of now Im off
b yetta. I dont know if it is permanent but if it is, Ill be leaving the
group. I dont know what is next. I was looking up Januvia and that has side
effects too. On the Byetta sites it mentions a generic version of Byetta. That
was
news to me. I just got my new pen with 10 instead of 5 and my co pay was over
$100. What a waste for me. Ev

<description>Stef, I just asked about diarrhea being a side effect of Byetta. If you find
something that helps, please let me know, because as it stands, If Im going
somewhere, I dont know if Im going to take my morning injection. I know thats
wrong but I cant deal with that. Ev
