Double 5mcg dose vs Single 10mcg
When I needed a immediate replacement for my broken pen on Wednesday, my
endo only had a 5 mcg pen available.
He told me to take a double dose. I did this Wednesday nite, all day
yesterday and this morning. I have never felt as sick
as I did then. My bs had lows of 60-80 for many hours at a time. My
stomach was sick the entire day and I was very cold and
lethagic for a good part of the day. I knew the spit was working again
but I had never experienced it this way.
I received the replacement card from Lilly/Amylin this afternoon for the
10mcg and immediately had it filled. I then took my
pre-dinner shot. I feel great now. Every bad side effect went away
with the exception of a reduced appetite (this is good).
BS post-dinner was okay not great.
The pharmicist told me that the 5mcg is more that 5 can be as high as 7.
Has anyone heard this? Has anyone tried to double dose a 5 mcg?
