my update
Well, lots of talk going on here with Curves and I just wanted to share my
story.
I began taking Byetta back in June. I started at 197 lbs. I lost about 5 lbs
the first two weeks and then nothing…just sick constantly. By December I was
back up to 199 lbs but my BS was good with my reads. So I was pleased. In Feb.
I decided to join WW and get my life on track so I can quit my meds if all
possible. I weighed in at 189 lbs. To date I am down to 175 lbs. I cannot say
if it is the Byetta but I am banking that it keeps my sugar under control which
helps me lose weight. I dont know the sceintific wording but I know that when
your body is functioning right it is easier to lose weight. For many years I
have struggled with weightloss. Today however I am pleased to say it is worth
trying because it is coming off.
As for exercise. I have exercised for the last 5 years at least 4 times a
week and no weightloss until recently. I feel good with exercise and highly
recommend it. I don’t go to Curves but I do hit the local gym. They have
babysitting that is included in my $47 a month fee. I get 2 hours a day free
childcare which was the main reason I joined. Most gyms charged that and then a
fee for the sitters.
Anyways….good luck to all!

*That is a great weight loss - and great that you have an exercise routine.
I agree with what you are saying. Unlike many on here, I don’t have the
nausea and I do have appetite; however, something about how the Byetta keeps
my BS level and helps my food more slowly digest, combined with all the
fiber I eat - well, it helps my willpower and keeps me in control. Food no
longer controls me; I control my food. I’ve never ever been able to do that
before Byetta. Even when I forced myself to have the willpower (and I could
do that) I was miserable all the time. That is no longer the case.*

I am enjoying this thread, thank you. I have just had surgery, fusion of
some of the neck vertebrae, and need to rehab my left arm. PLUS when I did
exercise I lost weight with the Byetta.
Thanks
