I had occasion to call the hot line because of blood in the pen and they asked how I stored the pen. When I told them that I stored it in the fridge, they didn't volunteer any information about new guidelines, and I didn't know to ask. aproved for room temperature storage?

I had occasion to call the hot line because of blood in the pen and
they asked how I stored the pen. When I told them that I stored it in
the fridge, they didn’t volunteer any information about new
guidelines, and I didn’t know to ask.

That is not exactly the same as keeping it at room temperature.

It really is handy to just grab and go, and not have to worry about packing the thermos with ice, etc. :) Cheryl from Florida *I keep mine in the Byetta freebie cooler bag with the gel packs inside. That way, if I am in a hurry to go somewhere it is already packed up and cool.
