What happens if you don’t eat within an hour of taking a shot, or not
at all?

I have taken shots without eating after and nothing happened except my blood
sugar went down to normal and stayed there. I have also taken shots after
eating and they worked as well as if taken before. Janet
Byetta has multiple benefits for a diabetic in addition to its glucose
lowering effect after a meal. For that reason alone one might consider not
missing a shot. It will not lower glucose in the great majority of people
as it works when glucose reaches 90 or so. The stomach emptying slow down
is the major cause for the gastric side effects reported, with no food no
side effects.
My personal opinion is that there is a reason for the rules set down
by the company. They tested the product and know what will happen in
any situation so I take their recommendations seriously. Any time I
haven’t I have at least had a great deal of discomfort or have gotten
sick.
