I have heard that some stay on the 5 pen for 2 or 3 months then go up
to the 10 pen. I do not remember the reasoning.
Are you taking any other meds along with the byetta? I take lantus at
night.
Do you eat a snack before bed? Some people eat a small snack before
bed, I think it prevents the liver from dumping sugar during the night.
I am not too positive how all the mechanics work. I only know that
some eat a snack at night to prevent high sugars in the morning. A
glass of milk, some crackers with peanut butter. etc.
