Surgery Can Cure Diabetes
Eminent surgeon from USA, Dr. Subhash Kini said that
the time was not far when a permanent cure of diabetes
would be in the hands of surgeons.

With all due respect, the website Informationondiabetes.com–to
which we were
referred by "Tribal Leader" (and not for the first time,
either)–is not one which
anyone should place much confidence. There is no sign of who is
the authority
behind the site (if there is anyone who could be called any
authority)–and the
limited "Contact" information gives an address in Bosnia.
The "story," "Surgery Can Cure Diabetes" moreover, is simply a
poorly written
piece from the Hindustani Times giving a wrap up of some papers
given by
several doctors at a symposium in India. No indication at all that
these doctors
have any particular credentials, or affiliations, or any motive
except getting
publicity. And the surgery referred to seems to be gastric bypass
or some
similar form of weight-loss surgery, which hardly qualifies as news
at this
point.
There are plenty of people with all sorts of qualifications—and
often, lack
of qualifications–who are trying to peddle supposedly "correct" or
"scientific"
information about diabetes (and everything else) on the Web.
Let’s try to refrain from wasting each other’s time and muddying
the waters
by putting up things that have no legitimate claim to our
attention.
Thanks.
