Blood in the Byetta Pen?
After this morning’s injection, I noticed what looks like some blood
(red matter floating) in the pen. Of course, the blood is mine, but
should this be a concern? Can I continue to use the pen for tonight
and tommorrow’s injections?
I will call the Byetta hotline when it reopens on Tues., but till then
please offer up opinions.

Byetta manufacturer recommends getting another pen whenever there is debris
floating in the medication. They want to be called using the 1800 number that
is on the box. The medication should be clear with a minute bubble or no
bubbles.

Thanks. I called them this morning and that is exactly what they
said. They are overnighting a voucher for a new pen.
