I messed up now what?

I understand that what I did was a bad choice but what comes next? I am a scout
leader. When a boy has his birthday we have rootbeer floats and the boy moves
up to the next group. Anyhow I had about 1/2 a small scoop of ice cream and an
oz. of rootbeer. I got home about an hour later took my shot and ate my dinner
about 1/2 hour after that. I was sick and very tired that night. So I know
better but, what happens when I forget and have a small snack. I assume it
would be a problem even if the snack was healthy. How long do you have to wait
after an afternoon snack to have dinner or are afternoon snacks a thing of the
past?

I can only speak for myself but I have had a snack and then taken my Byetta
and had my meal. I have also taken it after meals if it wasn’t convenient to
take it before, like if I wasn’t at home and didn’t have it with me. It
works well for me. I have no side effects and my A1C is 5. 4 and fasting blood
glucose is between 74 and 105. The doctor is very happy with all my test
results, including cholesterol and triglycerides as well as A1C. For me,
    Byetta
works great even if I don’t follow the manufacturers directions exactly.

Hello Pam, It’s my understanding that you wait at least an hour after
eating a snack to take a shot , so what you did sounds okay.

Why not have a diet rootbeer with a shot of whipped cream and a
tablespoon of ice cream or a scoop of low carb ice cream?

Also it could have been what or how much you ate for dinner that did you
    in.

One thing for sure, Byetta SURE takes the fun out of eating!

    Aloha, Marge
