neasea and bloating

Dale is right about the amount of food you eat. Try taking the Byetta, waiting
about 10 minutes then eating half the amount of food. The medication causes a
slowing of the digestive process, if you eat to much you can vomit and feel
bloated for hours.

Tammy,

Didn’t they show you how to use the pen? You can go to www.byetta.com
and there are directions on it.

Fwd: [Diabetes_And_Byetta] byetta and throwing up also Avandia

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

I take byetta and avandia 2mg, lantus 40 units and glucotrol 10. Have
you read the suggestions that are posted on the home page. These were
put there because of others going through the side effects. Did you
take your shot and then eat right away? I believe that prevents a lot
of nausea. That is what the rep told my diabetic teacher when I
attended a class.

Mickie,

Have you contacted amylin the makers of byetta. I think there are
several people who get it free from them. Have you tried taking the
byetta at different times. Right before you eat.? 20 minutes before
you eat. / 1 hr before you eat?

I don’t know what’s up but it seems I am not recieveing anymore emails about
byetta from our group. Anyway, it just might be a fluke thing. I think that I
am going off of the byetta since I can’t seem to find anyone who will help with
the expense. Unfortunately I may have to use insulin as a replacement. I am so
sad about this since I have gotten great results from it, although, all of my
friends and family want me to go off of it because I am still very ill when I
use it. I just figured that eventually that will go away. Mickie

Hair Loss–?

Monday, December 12th, 2005

On another chat site concering diabetes, I saw mentions of
Byetta-users
having experienced hair loss–or at least this seems to be an issue
for
some.

What does anyone here know of this? Thanks.

Brian
