Horn Tooting Time

I hope everyone has their own "horn-tooting" time. Started on Byetta
6/2/06. Since then HbA1c is down from 6.3 to 5.4%. Weight -31 lbs, down
to 168. Tris, LDL/HDL well within specs.
Doctor asked me when I planned to stop losing weight.. :)
5′81/2", and I told her my goal weight is around 155. Good to go. A
major reason for that weight loss is severe arthritic knees.

This is doable! Yes, I do have nausea infrequently (when I know I will
be having it), but by eating right things go well.

I’m just wondering what I do if I ever do reach my goal weight. Perhaps
time to go back to the 5mg pen.

Hello Dave, Congratulations on your hardwork and fantastic results!

Do you have any eating advice to pass on?

    Thanks Marge.

I am eating a lot less and not by design! This LS makes me feel full
most of the time. I have really cut down and don’t miss anything either.
I do still sneak some cookies now and then and ice cream. If you cut all
the good stuff out you won’t make it. Probably the best advice I can
pass on is to eat slowly and you’ll feel the fullness. Stop then. I have
never left food on my plate before! If I ever have nausea (rare) it’s
due to me eating too much, too fast, or the wrong kinds of food.

Oh, insulin (Lantus) is down from 28u to 12u, and rarely use Humalog any
more. 10 years and things are looking a lot better from the start (8.8%).
