Fwd: [Diabetes_And_Byetta] weird
Mickie,
Have you contacted amylin the makers of byetta. I think there are
several people who get it free from them. Have you tried taking the
byetta at different times. Right before you eat.? 20 minutes before
you eat. / 1 hr before you eat?

Mickie-
Visit the web site for the
Partnership for Prescription Assistance.
They have thousands of prescription medicines on their list that the
makers have available at low or no cost to qualified folks.

Mickie,
I do not have any more information but I remember reading about this on
the list. I am sure it is in the archives, because this subject has
been discussed several times. I will try to search.

Thanks Dale, I appreciate any help that you can give me. I just don’t know what
else to do. I don’t want to go on to insulin and put on more weight. I am just
happy being able to lose some and keep my bs down. any help is very much
appreciated.

go to www.pparx.org and search for Byetta. You will have to enter in
some information and they will immediately tell you if you qualify for
help with the drug. If you do fill out the form, take it to your doc to
have him/her fill out the script and send to the company. The company
will then send the med to the doctors office or send a voucher or
however they do it.
I get all my meds this way. If you have any kind of prescription
insurance you dont qualify tho.
Have you asked your doctor to talk with the drug rep that services his
practice? You may be able to get help from them. My mom has to take a
script that costs almost 700 a month and she gets it free from the
NovoNordisk rep every month.
Hope you find some help so you can stay on the byetta. If not insulin
isnt so bad*G* The needles are no bigger and it comes in pen form so it
wont be so different, just something with another name that wont make
you want to vomit when you take it.
