glucometer question
I have a one touch ultra which I received in June when I was first
diagnosed with diabetes. I’ve always had test strips with code 9 on
them. Today I had to begin test strips with 23 on them. I know I got
this code change done correctly. My fasting number was 85. I have
occasionally had 90 and more often mid-nineties, but am surprised at
this low number and wonder if it relates to the different strip. Does
anyone have experience with this sort of things?

Although I have never had that happen myself, I was wondering if you did the
"control" test with your new strips using the control solution? Maybe it would
help you determine if there is a problem with the strips. I think if I ever did
get a fasting number of 85 - I wouldn’t believe it and I would test again.
