Byetta side effects
I am within a couple days of ending my month on the 10mcg pen, and
have not gotten over the hump with the nausea and vomiting. I had
two good days….wondered how that could be possible, and discovered
that my pen was not working. When I reset the pen, a huge amount of
medication went spraying across the room. It seemed like more than
the normal new pen test…but I don’t see how it could be more than
one dose, when I was resetting the pen after each injection.
Anyway, I am sure glad that I did not get that massive injection of
medication. I wonder if the bad nausea and occasion vomiting that I
experience is like an overdose.
Last night I had to miss the evening dose due to an unexpected out
of town trip directly after work. Without the shot, I still had the
appetite suppressant effect, only eating about 1/4 of my food. I
did not experience any nausea, but this morning after taking the 10
mcg shot, it is extreme nausea AGAIN.
I see the P.A. tomorrow and am going to suggest backing down to the
5 mcg dose. I have started feeling depressed from feeling so poorly
for the entire month. I have a fairly sensitive digestive system,
and have also experienced reactions and sensitivities to higher
dosages on different medications in the past. Since nausea and
headaches are the most common side effects that most people
experience on Byetta, it is more difficult for me to determine this
time if I am experiencing an overdose. I envy those of you that
have cast iron stomachs.
I have tried all the suggested nausea treatments, and sometimes some
work and then sometimes none work at all.
