Got this email today, wasnt sure if everyone else receives it and thought it
might help someone.
You are receiving this email because you registered on BYETTA.com for email
updates. Some of you may have been concerned about traveling by plane with
your BYETTA Pen given the new airport security restrictions.
• *You can carry your BYETTA Pen in your carry-on
baggage on the airplane.* Keep it with you at all times. Do
NOT put your BYETTA Pen in your checked baggage.
• Store your BYETTA Pen in a clear, resealable bag. Put this
bag into another larger clear, resealable bag. Keep the pen
separate from all your other carry-on items. When you travel
with BYETTA, it should be kept cool. You may ask for ice when
you get on the plane. Then put the ice into the larger sealed
bag so that the bag containing the BYETTA Pen is surrounded
by the ice. It is important to keep the pen dry.
• If you usually keep your pen in a travel bag with gel packs, the
gel packs CANNOT be carried on board the airplane. The gel
packs MUST be put in your checked baggage.
• You must provide a prescription label for BYETTA with your
name on it exactly as your name appears on your passenger
ticket. Ask your pharmacist for this label.

Hello.
Is it necessary to have some kind of letter from a doctor to prove that I am a
diabetic, when traveling by an airplane?
