		<description>Hi, Dan. I went hypo on byetta 10 with no other meds on board. I think
the lowest I went was 52. And I only drink coffee when we're camping and
it's cold. So, no, there was no coffee in my system at the time.

		<description>Dan, if I understood your request right, I think I may fit into the
category of folks you are looking for. I have lows anywhere from 43 to
65 almost every evening after taking 5mcgs of Byetta. Doesn't do that to
me from my AM shot. I also take Glucophage XR X2 AM, none in the evening
anymore. The last 3 days I have been experimenting (I ::hate:: those
lows!) with leaving off the Glucophage completely, and &#34;coincidentally&#34;
the lowest I've been is 85. But then I also had a &#34;Parrot Bay&#34; bottled
drink with my supper, so I'm not sure if that's keeping my sugars high
enough (it does have natural fruit sugar in it, along with some
alcohol). I haven't told my doc about this latest experiment though. I
think I'll skip the Parrot Bay for a few days, and see how my BGs do
without the Glucophage. I'll send him a report and ask for his advice
once he sees the great numbers.... won't mention the first two nights
experiment.... if that's what worked, I'm back to square one and the
Glucophage and low BG's again. &#60;sigh&#62;
&lt;!--more--&gt;

There seems to be a small fraction of people who can get a low,ex. less
then 70, using byetta. For some it is because they combine it with
other
drugs which prompt insulin but doesn't stop doing so when blood glucose
levels fall. I'm interested however in those who don't fall in that
category.

If you would consider answering please, I have a reason for asking but
don't want to influence answers, how many cups, if any, of coffie do you
drink during the day? After some responses I will say why I'm asking.

TThanks,

Dan

		<description>I am not a coffee drinker at all. I only experience lows on byetta 10 mcg after
the evening meal. My lows have ranged between 46 and 70, but most fall between
55 and 62. I don't experience lows after the morning shot, only the evening
shot. I am only on byetta, no oral diabetes medication at present. I do drink
tea at dinner if that matters at all.

		<description>Dan, I have only had one reading under 70 in the three months I've been on it.
I take about 22.5 mg of Actos and drink a couple cups of decaf each day. Kathy

		<description>Dan,
I'm one of those people who don't get lows with Byetta. I drink caffinated or
decaf depending on the time of day. About 6-8&#43;cups on some days,depending on the
coffeemaker. Sometimes I perk it, other times use a coffee press. I use Byetta
with Amaryl 2mg, daily and metaformin 1000 mg at night.
