Weren't you a mess sargeant in Vietnam ?? .. 25th Infantry Division -
Engineer Battalion ?? I only ask because I swear that's what he fixed for
dinner every Thursday. Or maybe it was 10W30 Pennzoil. Hard to tell the
difference.

		<description>Thanks for the info Stef

Has anyone tried those accupressure wrist bands? I know those have
helped a few girlfriends of mine when they were pregnant to get over
that barfy stage. I was thinking of trying them when I start on Byetta
if I have that problem (which I'm hoping I won't!).

<description>I have tried the wrist bands, and they did not work for me.

I have had alot of stomach pain with Byetta, which reminds me of ulcer pain,
but when I had an ulcer in the past, the pain was more constant than the stomach
pain from the Byetta. It comes and goes, morning and evening after the
shots....I feel normal from around noon to evening time, when I take the second
shot. I can eat any foods during the lunch meal, but cannot tolerate most foods
at the breakfast and dinner meals.
The nausea lasts for about 5 hours each time, sometimes longer in the
evenings, unless it causes me to throw up sooner.

I think I will suffer through another week finishing up this 10 pen, and then
go back on the 5 pen, since I already have one. I need a rest from feeling like
this, no matter how good this stuff is suppose to be for you.

<description>Actually, most ulcers are caused by a bacterial infection, so while
you may have one and it could be aggravated, it wasn't caused per se
by the medication.

<description>I grew up in an orphanage eating crap you wouldn't feed the dog - I can eat
sand and ground up clam shells and wash it down with a nice 30 weight motor
oil and feel fine and STILL the 10 pen beat the hell out of me every single
day. I tried all of the classes of OTC antacid and CVS/Walmart Pepto liquid
was the only thing that helped me through it and that not 100%. I kept
bottles on the desk at work, on the desk at home, and in my gear bag. Short
answer, you're probably in the pen with the rest of us. The med is a Wonder
Drug, find a way to cope with it.
