becoming disappointed
Hi all,
I started taking the 10 pen on Sept. 19 and was doing pretty good BS
wise. Along with byetta, I also took glynase in the morning and
evening. Fasting BS’s ran low ( 46, 68,70) the first few days and my
dr. had me cut my morning glynase in half. BS’s went to 115-123
which is ok for me. Readings two hours after a meal were the same
(115-125) and befor meals was 90-low 100’s. My appetite was ok, but
suppressed. And then two weeks ago.. wham. All chaos broke out. My
fasting levels are now 130-145. 2 hours after meals they return to
the same. Four hours after a meal levels are 105-120’s. So I added
500 glucophage at night with no change in fasting levels(130-145).
Two days ago, I went back to a whole glynase in the morning with the
Byetta and no change. Does this mean Byetta may not be a good choice
for me? Appetite hasn’t been very suppressed either. I am trying
desperately not to snack, but it’s a struggle now where over the last
month and 1/2 its been easy.
I guess I should be thankful for the good BS’s that I have had and
the 5 pound weight loss (and 8 inches). I’m just disappointed
because I really wanted this to be what helped me to be healthy and
lose weight. Guess I’ll call my Dr. tomorrow and see what he says.
