I love my pharmacist, she relieved a TON of my stress.
A couple of weekends ago, my doctors office had an open house. well, there
was a rep from One Touch there and they were giving out coupons for a free
meter. Well, the pharmacy was out, so i went back the following week when
they were in and was alerted to the fact that they only had the meters, not
the start up kit with lancets and strips as I was told. Well, the reason i
was hoping for this is I was almost (2 left) out of test srtips. I have no
insurance. And since my fiancee lost his job, and we have bills on disconect
etc, I was upset because i realized I wouldnt have any test strips until my
financial aid loan comes in sometime this month. So, the pharmacist was like
"oh well, let me see what I can do and I will give you a call" She called me
today and got me a new meter from a drug rep with 100 strips and has 200
more on order coming for me. AT NO COST. I am so exicted and so relieved. So
point of my story, I never thought about checking with my pharmacist for
help, so you never know, it doesnt hurt to ask…..
