Bubbles in my Byetta

I just started my 2nd pen of Byetta (so it’s been sitting in the fridge
for a month) But I see on one side of it, it’s full of bubbles.
Is this normal? OK, maybe I am being paranoid from all the "bad" RX
talk, but have any of you had this happen?

I’ve had bubbles in mine before and I just tapped the side of the canister
until the bubbles broke up into small ones and some seemed to disappear. The
    Byetta still worked OK. Janet

I think this is normal. When I had training on giving myself Byetta
injections, the nurse said to always start a new pen by tapping it
with your finger on the side to release any air bubbles - Judy

Judy, I didn’t have much training for administering the shots and I sometimes
must hit a vein because I bleed and get a big bruise mark at the insertion
point. I’m doing my shots in my tummy since I had the same problem in my thigh.
    Any suggestions? Thanks. Kathy

Those are great tips. I wasn’t really instructed well on how to
give myself an injection. Thanks for the "lesson"!LOL

Also, pinch up an area of fat with your left hand
when you insert the needle with your right.

I asked the nurse about that when I got my first Byetta and the told me NOT
to pinch up any skin/fat. She said the needle is so short that there is no
    need for it. Janet
