? regarding nausea

I was wondering…I have been on the 10 mg for 2.5 weeks now and I am still
nauseated. To the point that it is a buring in my stomach and just feel like I
need to throw up. Is this how it affects everyone? I have also found that milk
in the am is bad, as is salsa, spaghetti sauce and cream based products. I am
slowly learning. Will this ever pass?

Alice, I went back on the 5 mg after three weeks on the 10mg. In fact, I was
only taking the 10 one time a day because of the nausea. I’m carefully watching
my results on the 5, plus I’m hoping that if I have to go on the 10 again, after
a few months on the 5, my body will be more ready for the 10. Good Luck! Kathy

I am on 5 mg, midway through week three and while the nausea is better, I can
totally relate to what you are going through. When I am most nauseaus I can
usually trace it to something I’ve eaten that may not have been a problem
stomach wise pre-byetta. I had a dinner salad, followed by ice cream a few
nights ago and the stomach pain was horrible. I had burning and terrible gas
from that combination. Just wondering, I ate only the salad last night without
as much problem although still more problem than if I’d eaten something else. I
am finding that how much I eat and what foods I eat in combination really
affects my level of nausea. On top of the nausea, I also get a lot of
gas/burping and stomach acid. I take tums and that helps as does my twice daily
    dose of Zantac.

Good luck, I think it does gett better. From everything I’ve read, a lot of the
success has to do with figuring out what your body can tolerate eating.
