Remote Thermometer???
Dave Said “My preference (and only because I own one) is an Oregon
Scientific thermometer with remote sensor. You can put the sensor right in
the bag and not have to open the bag to check the temp.
At home I use it in the refrigerator drawer and it transmits the temperature
about 30 feet with no problems. I keep the drawer between 38.5-40° You can
find those on EBay at times for a decent price.”
Dave! I didn’t even know there was such a thing! It sits outside the frig?
And you are saying that you put the sensor inside the bag INSIDE the
thermos? What will they think of next???? I have to have one of those!!!!

As a FoodNetwork groupie, I would say the thermometer that Dave uses
is much like the ones that Alton Brown uses. It has a probe attached
to a cable and you put the probe in the food, and the cable allows the
readout part to be put on the counter or magnetically to the door of
the oven. You dont have to open the oven door to read the temp. They
also have a time function for use when cooking, could probably be set
to alarm for reminder to take meds too.
Dave’s must have a long cable to allow it to reach into the frige*G*
