Hi Dave!
Thanks for your input. Yes…I started on the 5 pen July 3 and the 10 pen
August 3.
I don’t see much wrong with the food, but you should ditch the white
rice and switch to brown. I do think that you are not taking the Byetta
to your best advantage.
Seems like you are taking it just prior to eating. I think the more you
can push the injection back from the meal up to a max of an hour you’ll
have an easier time with things. Numbers aren’t bad and you just started

Hi !
Well, actually rice isn’t a big issue with me. I could very easily cut it
out of my diet. But my son and our future daughter in law are living with
us, and they love my chicken and rice, so I made it last night. Didn’t feel
like doing anything special just for me, so I just ate it. Potatoes are
also something that I can do without. My carb thing that I LOVE is fruit.
I didn’t have any yesterday, but it is something I crave especially in hot
weather. It makes me mad that my company’s hedgehog gets something I want
but can’t have…lol….
If you absolutely cannot live without white rice, parboiled long grain
rice (e.g. Uncle Ben’s, but there are other, less expensive brands if
you hunt for them) is less bad that ordinary rice, since the surface
of the grain is harder and so it digests a little slower than ordinary
white rice, and especially Asian short grain "sticky" rice.

Mmmmm Blueberries. They are my current "Thing" now. They are really good
for you too as far as antioxidants and stuff go. I think they are fairly
low carb as well.
Don’t do without fruit, just be careful what fruit you eat. "Northern"
fruits like applies and pears have a lower glycemic index than
tropical fruits like pineapple. Melons are also troublesome, but you
have to experiment to find out what fruits you can eat.

i pretty much limit my fruits to strawberries,
blueberries and p eaches. especially the blueberrries
since thier health benefits outweigh their sugar
content. however, i do eat frut sparinglin. i usually
don’t eat fruit but 1-2 times a month
