Informal poll

Does it ever bother any of you that there is NO long-term study for this stuff?
I mean, we could ALL be going lizard, and none of us knows it. Just
wondering….

Quite to contrary… I’ve seen the little geckos do it as they are about to
    attack their crickets…. quite amusing!

Lizards don’t swish their tails, do they? I thought that was just
    mammals.

Jan, the way I was going, I felt I wasn’t going to live long enough
anyway, so I’m willing to take the chance. If I passed away tomorrow, I
have absolutely no regrets about the lizard. <s> Please excuse me now
while I look for a warm rock to bask on. LOL

Sharon, you’re absolutely right. This is one way dreams come true. Who
would have thought Gila would hold such promise? <g>

my iguana is quite the tail swisher. in fact my leg is
black and blue where she got mad and tailwhipped me.

    hers.

Excuse me, please. I have sort of been out of commission, and missed these
responses. I feel I owe some of you an apology, as it seems my question may have
upset some of you. I was not trying to imply anything; I have the tendency to
"think outside the box"… "be out of left field" sometimes, and, unfortunately,
I spoke my mind when perhaps I should not. It was not my intent to suggest that
there were negatives that right now are unknowns which could far outweigh the
benefits of taking Byetta. Yes, I know we pay OUR money, and take OUR chances by
taking any medications of any kind for any purpose. Let’s not go there. The
thought simply occured to me, and I wondered–really–if anyone else thinks like
    me.

I think I have my answer.
    Thank you for your responses.

Janie I can understand that train of thought. I have dealt with my own
chronic illnesses for too many years.
But the one thing that has always kept me going [aside from the love
of my family and children] was the fact that there was always someone
    worse off than me.
My suffering pales in comparison from many people, like child cancer
patients, terminally ill people who WANT to live, people waiting for
    organ transplants etc.

Sometimes it helps to don those rose colored glasses and view life
    from a different perspective.
