homeopathy, was ‘Nausea and Vinager’
I too will not continue in this thread, the below appended at the end is
commonly accepted among those true believers but can not be substantiated
independently. There have been some attempts to use science to support the
claims, which is standard in normal medicine, but with little success.
Here is a summary of one study of some of those few attempts with a link to
learn more, in short homeopathy claims work in the same way as the effects
when a sugar pill is given,ie. the placebo effect:
"The meta-analysis of findings from 110 homeopathy trials and 110 matched
conventional-medicine trials found that the benefits claimed by homeopathy
can be explained by placebo effect, according to results reported in the
Aug. 27 issue of The Lancet."
"I will not enter into a public debate on this list about the law of
similars and the value of homeopathy except to note, that it saves lives
every day for something that has no medical validity. It has been proven
in solidly peer reviewed double blind studies as well as millions of
anecdotal studies.
Apologies to the list for this minor rant, but claims of scientific
invalidity for homeopathy have been totally disproven and dismissed."
