She doesn't want to prescribe a medicine that will help you because she doesn't want to "MESS" with it? What does that mean? She doesn't want to have to learn about it? This woman needs to have her eyes opened. There should be some course open to you for helping her to have them opened. If nothing else, a letter to the editor of your local paper to let her current and future patients know of her unwillingness to prescribe something that would mean work for her. I know that sounds hateful, but gee whiz....she is basically telling you that she doesn't want to mess with YOU. It's either her way or the highway....I'm glad that your searching for another dr. Well folks, I went to my doctor and was very adament and direct with her. I told her what I wanted (Byetta), that I had done my research and I wanted her to work with me on my treatment. You would think a place the size of Portland, Oregon would have a free clinic but I have been unable to locate one.
