My doctor doesn’t want to "mess with" byetta
Well folks, I went to my doctor and was very adament and direct with
her. I told her what I wanted (Byetta), that I had done my research
and I wanted her to work with me on my treatment. Her reply was that I
seek another doctor and that she didn’t want to "mess with" Byetta.
Finding a new doctor was my intent any how but is now more difficult
without insurance right now…. You would think a place the size of
Portland, Oregon would have a free clinic but I have been unable to
locate one.
Will keep the group posted and want to thank everyone who has been so
supportive!! : )

Pam, I’m sorry you’re going through this. Her reasoning is not logical.
You’re better off without her.

Believe me….you are better off without this dr. She doesn’t want to
prescribe a medicine that will help you because she doesn’t want to "MESS"
with it? What does that mean? She doesn’t want to have to learn about it?
This woman needs to have her eyes opened. There should be some course open
to you for helping her to have them opened. If nothing else, a letter to
the editor of your local paper to let her current and future patients know
of her unwillingness to prescribe something that would mean work for her. I
know that sounds hateful, but gee whiz….she is basically telling you that
she doesn’t want to mess with YOU. It’s either her way or the
highway….I’m glad that your searching for another dr.
