    Gary,

I had nausea the first day only and no I don’t have the extended "full"
feeling reducing appetite. I am consciously eating less and slower, the
first few days I had acid reflux because my digestive system slowed way
down. Now I now how to play the game, just eat less and slow. At least
that is what is working for me.

Now I know I can eat right after taking the injection, so I will really be
    doing so much better.

    BTW

    I like your email name

    Millie –
Not everybody loses weight on Byetta. Do you have the extended "full"
feeling reducing appetite? Do you have the nausea? I never had nausea,
and only lost a few pounds from the full feeling. Then in April,
after 8 months on the spit, the constant full feeling suddenly
disappeared and I was famished. My appetite has dropped a little
since then, but I suspect the pleasant full feeling is gone for good.
I called the manufacturer about it, and they said Byetta isn’t for
weight loss (i.e. they have no explanation for the change in the nasty
    side effect of losing weight).

So you are not alone. In weight loss with Byetta it is truly "Your
    Mileage May Vary."

I have been on it since May 18. I have lost a few pounds. My diet
centers around low carb, low fat and high fiber… seems to be working
    for me…

Thanks for the information and encouragement.

Millie, It is different for different folks. I try to concentrate on protein

and eat fewer and fewer carbs. I think portion control makes a difference.
    Has
there been any size reduction in clothes? I find I am not hungry as much and

that is what has helped me the most. But sometimes I have gone for 3- 4
    weeks
with little or no loss. Hang in, it will come without a doubt. John Dodson
