weird day

had to travel today to help a client purchase new computers and desks. woke
to about 132, took oral diabetes pills, drank black coffee.
took 10 pen and 40 units of lantus at 8 am. was in a hurry so i gulped down
2 pieces low carb wheat bread and some lc tuna salad for breakfast (was 181
pre breakfast from just black coffee) . we stopped on the road at mickey d’s
and client insisted i eat. i figured what the heck cause bg is gonna rise
anyway. had a 1/4 pounder and ate the bun too. this was about 12:30 pm.
drank a diet dew and when we got back to office bg was 165 (almost 2 hours
later). ate 3 malted milk eggs (huge ones).

got home at 5:30 pm and bg was 161. took oral meds. 6:30 pm took 10 pen. ate
another tuna sandwich on lc bread. at 8:15 pm when i took 38 units lantus
was only 145.

so what’s the deal? if i eat carbs my bg stays low??? if i eat low carb it

pointers regading not getting a virus on your macine

Sayeth the webmaster type person (that being me)…

Those of us that use web-based mail will not get a virus unless we are foolish
enough to open an unanticipated attachment.

Even if we got it, those of us who use a web-based mail system will not transmit
it as it can’t raid our non-existant Microsoft address book from Outlook/Outlook
Express or (in some cases) Eudora.

This is a lesson to never, Never, NEVER open an attachment you are not expecting
even from a friend. I have been known to write to my husband, brother, and
employers asking if they actually intended to send me an attachment. Often the
addresses were "spoofed" from the address books of their friends. This becomes
a real problem, too, when people send multiple addresses in the CC line that can
be harvested automatically. Always best to send mulitple copies through a list

that was at 6:15 am and by 8 i was at 170. i have never had a problem with
dawn rise before either. i took 40 u of lantus last night and 35 this
morning. up 5 from where dr wanted it but i think i need to take a bigger
split at pm if i now have to deal with a dawn rise.

took lantus and byetta at about 8 am and will see how it goes. was under 200
all day yesterday.
