Fwd: [Diabetes_And_Byetta] Doctors and their prescriptions…

Marsha,

Has your sister in law tried anodyne therapy? I went for it when I had
bad problems with my feet. There was a a guy that came in after me for
treatment. He was in a wheel chair. I was there doing some stretching
exercises when they tested his feet. He did not have any feeling, but
during the test he told him he felt something and when they ask where
he told them which foot and the location was correct. He did go for a
lot of treatments and you could get your own machine for home use
through some insurance companies. You have to go at least 3 times a
week and I think this guy was on his 24th treatment or around that, so
you can not expect instant results.

Just a thought.

Tried the 10 tonight (was Re: Still having the lows…)

Sunday, September 5th, 2004

Ok, I decided to try the 10 mcg tonight at home and see how it went.

I took the shot at 7 pm and then ate at 7:30.

I had a lean hamburger patty cooked outside on the grill, a small salad, a small

I took my blood sugar at 8:30 pm and it was 145 and then again at 10 pm and it
was 110.

No Low. No Nausea.

So what does that mean, that I have not been eating enough carbs with my meals?
Did the extra food keep me from plunging down low? Should I eat something before

Some fresh data from Diabetes in Control Newsletter # 314, 5/31/06

In a Newsletter for Diabetic Physicians and other health professionals it was
reported:

FACT:
Incretins stimulate beta-cell replication: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1)
and glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (GIP) are in-cretin hormones. A
long-acting GLP-1 derivative, liraglutide, has been developed. In a recent
study,
it was suggested that GLP-1, GIP, and liraglutide may have the potential to
increase beta-cell replication in humans. This would have a signifi-cant impact
on long-term diabetes treatment.
