Hi Pat,

I just took my fourth dose today on the 10 pen. I was ready for all of it.
Nausea, vomiting, you name it. To my delight, there was not much of a
noticeable change from the 5 dose. The first dose made me a "little queasy"
that lasted only 20 min. After that initial feeling, it has been free
sailing. I was prepared with ginger capsules for nausea, just in case. If
you tolerated the 5 dose well, you will probably do well with the 10.
Everyone is different. One thing is certain, my numbers are coming down

I can eat pretty much anything I want, just a lot less of it. I do notice that
I have more problems digesting beef than I do chicken or poultry. Fortunately,
I am a non-discriminating meat eater. :) I seem to require fat in my diet to
do well with spit. I do okay with salads, but not too much at one time.
Avocados seem to be a little overwhelming if I have too much at any one time -
1/2 is too much and 1/4 is difficult to store if it is left over (not
impossible, just more difficult). My taste buds don't like screaming hot any
more. I've been fortunate my food options have not been particularly limited
since they were limited to begin with (no grains, no starches).

Marsha and to all that responded.

If my kids dont eat what we cook. Then they do have to fend for them selves.
But they are allow one snack food a week. And that is it.

I will be taking the 10 in the next hour or so. So i will see what happens.
I just hope to stay awake to do some cleaning since it is my day off.

Will let you all know how it went.

Pat, I was prepared tripping the nausea fantastic, but that didn't
happen. Just a slight nauseous feeling that went away. No problem. I was
sleepy for about two weeks, but welcomed the excuse to rest. LOL

You may be less hungry. And things may be better bg wise. One day at a
time - one spit dose at a time.

Hugs,

Pat, my stress eating is gone. While my appetite has increased a little
since I started the spit, it's nowhere near what it was before.

> But there are days that i can eat all the bad stuff even after

Pat,

We cook what we cook. We may modify when the kids come over, but essentially,
we cook what we cook. The girls know we keep things here for them like cereal
and pretzyls and that sort of stuff in their pantry. But when they come for
dinner they get salad, green beans, thin sliced ham, low carb popovers hot from
the oven, and for dessert there is cheese and strawberries, sometimes with
whipped cream.

Granted, they don't live with us anymore, but we have things they may not have
at home - tuna stake rolled in sesame seeds and cooked in dark sesame oil,
served with a wasabi sauce on a bed of sticky rice (for them) and as much soy
sauce as they desire. Or grilled salmon with dill with cottage cheese to dip
carrots and celery in served with raita sauce to dip the fish in. Kids don't
have to have junk food. Oh, they get a little here, but we make eating an
<!--more-->
adventure. Let's have jalaenpo scallops tonight!

Your older kids should be able to make a sandwich or two if they don't like the
main meals. You set the standards for eating and let htem decide what of the
offered fare theyl'll eat,. Dont' work - they will adapt. :)

I wonder why we stress. I stress ... sometimes. Most of the time I don't. It
is what it is (phrase stolen from a wise Irish lass I know). and stressing will
only give us worry lines Cook what you cook. They are old enough to eat or not
and fen for themselves. Make enough good food and they will come around. :)

Cheers!
Marsha

I am learning that i cant have it both ways. That is why i struggle with it
all the time. And the stress is so high from it all.

Hi Marsha

I am learning that i cant have it both ways. That is why i struggle with it
all the time. And the stress is so high from it all.

i know that the endo said that it would be better if we all (household)
follow the eating pattern. But my kids arent trying to follow it. My 19 year
old
is changing her ways. But the 12 year old isnt to much. I have cut back alot
on buying the sweets to one for the 12 year and one for the 13 year a week
and its got to last the whole week or they dont get any more for that week.

With that it lessens the junk in the house.
