My doctor gave me a prescription for byetta, which had a sticker on it
for 1 free pen from the drug company.
He then gave me a prescription to send for the 10 pen to my mail away
plan. He also gave me a box with a video in it on byetta. It also had
that coupon to get my free travel case from the company.
My doctor has been away since April 12 and will not return until the
24th. I am still having problems with the byetta and rashes. I
stopped it for a couple days. I used the benedryl on the injection
location. I called my primary doctor. She gave me clarinex and told
me to take 25millegrams of benedryl 1 hour before taking byetta. I
did that last night. I did not get itching, rash. I did not get
raised welts. I do have a red dot around the size of the dime is red
where I injected.

believe it or ot. one of the drugs that works great
for rashes and would also help with some of the
possible GI issuses with byetta is Tagamet. available
over the counter. it is an H2 receptoer agonist wehre
Benadryl is an H1 recepter agonist. might be worth a
try

Hi Gary,
Yes, I am aware of drug salepersons. I go to school
with one, who is a very attractive young woman who
hands out pads, pencils, pens, drug samples, etc. and
quite nicely finances her law education without having
to take out loans.
However, if they hand out Byetta pens they missed Dr.
Little. He is always handing stuff out to help
low-income patients or people with problems with
insurance. Small office, sort of a country doctor

I Laurie!
I too go to weight watchers, and have since Jan/2005 lost 80 pounds and
gained some back, bit I love it! Congrats on your starter kit, and the
sugars going down. It works well together.
The travel pack is nice that is for sure!
Good luck!!
Melissa
I too was given a starter kit @ my doctor’s office. It had a tape, lots of
info to read, and starter set of needles. I am currently on 5 mcg pen. I
started on April 4th, and have seen my fasting sugars go down from 263 to
169 this morning! I am also in my first week of Weight Watchers. So I will
have an accountability factor with my diet to keep me on line!
I sent in for the travel kit, and it’s really nice! Not much is free so
get one!! You can also go to the Byetta website to get one.

When the PA I was seeing OKd the spit for me, he contacted the rep and
they did pay him a visit. I couldn’t wait until that happened, as I
wanted to get on the spit and on to the 10mcg before taking our 3-week
camping trip to Arizona for a family reunion. So I didn’t get the free
starter kit, but that’s OK.
