10mcg pen

Thursday, January 15th, 2004

i remember awhile back someone had commented on the fact that they got
a big drop of liquid after removing thier pen and also a lot dripping
OFF the pen needle when removing it also.
Well i am now on the 10 mcg and can relate!
that is exactly what was happening to me. So i set about trying to find
out why.
I remembered the Amylin/Lilly CS mentioning to me (when i’d called for
something) that with the 10 mcg it is MUCH harder to push in, you have
to hold it IN longer and in general just harder to use. So, i tried a
few things.
1. pushing harder on the plunger per se, by holding the tip of the pen
top on my skin AND pushing the end. voila i got the standard clicking i
had gotten with the 5 mcg, which i’d not before. ok i got clicks, but
not the click click-click click thing haha.

Help Needed

Thursday, January 8th, 2004

Hi everyone:

My name is Joan and I need help badly. I am on byetta 10 u. My blood
sugar numbers are out of whack. I am having numbers higher than I ever
had before. Today, after eatingbreakfast, my number was 345. It took
all day and night to come down. When it finally came down, it went to
121 and then to 80.

Please give me any suggestions. By the way, I am having trouble eating
and also have hypoglycemic attacks that takes almost an hour to go up.

I am also having trouble contacting my endocrinologist. Left 2
messages and she never called back.

thanks

Applied Kinesiology, ie. muscle testing

Sunday, January 4th, 2004

See:

for a clear and detailed discussion of the truth claims for muscle testing.
It is ironic in the extreme that a discussion of a "test" without
evidential support should be found in a form devoted to a drug and its
biochemistry that is fully based in demonstrated science and found
effective by rigorous scientific testing.

Below is a snip from the page which includes the failed attempts of those
who advocate it to demonstrate that it works.

Although the claims of applied kinesiology are so far removed from
scientific reality that testing them might seem a waste of time,
