Has anyone noticed -

A marked increase in wind and stamina since getting on Byetta? I’m
back to being able to climb three flights of stairs and walk all the
way back to my apartment without a pause. I hadn’t been able to do
that in several years. I don’t know if it’s the byetta, or getting off
Actos, which seemed to do me more harm than good.

Also, I recently started taking a supplement called Neuro-PS, which is
supposedly a brain booster. I do seem to be a little sharper in some
ways since I started taking it. However, a while back I ran out and
didn’t take it for a while. When I started again my morning sugars
plumeted and I cut my Lantus dosage for the first time in quite a
while. I’m wondering if there’s a correlation. Anyone tried this
stuff?

John,

You have given me hope that I can succeed. I thank you for that and I
respect your experience and everyones experience most of the time more
than medical doctors, because people on this list are walking the walk
not just talking the talk. My doctor believes in this lizard too.
I am only on my second month. This group has kept me going in the
right direction. I enjoy reading your posts very much.

Fwd: [Diabetes_And_Byetta] new …….rosy

Tuesday, January 27th, 2004

Hi Rosy,

I can totally relate to you. I have been a diabetic for 2 1/2 years.
I tried a lot of medications too. I first started with the metformin
and micronase. I could not take either. I then was put on actos. It
caused severe nightmares, I would say more like night tremors. I then
tried amaryl. Of course all of these meds caused me to gain weight. I
then was put on lantus. I was ok but I was taking 86 units of lantus.
I then just got into a depression and could not inject myself anymore.
I did it for a bout 8 months. The needle freaks me out. I got so
depressed this past January and February that my sugar was over 500.
My primary doctor gave me an anti depressant to take called Lexapro. I
did not want to take this but I had no choice. I have been taking
Lexapro now since then. I felt better the first couple of days after
starting it. My doctor gave me the glucophage extended and I seem to

A little of this, a little of that

Becca - welcome, from a fellow Texas resident. Please don’t chastise
yourself for your initial hesitancy. I was scared spitless (no pun
intended… well, maybe a little) just looking at those directions
and that pen and those needles and my poor frightened tummy.
Retrospectively I can admit to you now that it was not a good
decision on my part to wait weeks. It took only three days for me to
see a marked improvement, that continues. I hate thinking of how
much more damage I accumulated in those weeks of fear, because I
didn’t ask the right people, and didn’t have the info I needed to try
this magic treatment. I think it’s magic because it’s allowed me to
own this wretched disease rather than letting myself be a victim.

Andrew - thank you for your tasteful administration.
And also for the double dose info. Please let us all know
immediately if you get that whole lizard-eyeball-rolling-around-thing

Hi there. My name is Becca. I am a 33 yr old sahm of 9 children in TX. I am a
type 2 diabetic since March 13, 2005. My dr. just gave me a prescription for
Byetta. I have heard mixed opinions about it though and am apprehensive about
using it. I would love to hear everyone’s opinions here. I want to know what I
should expect and where better to hear that than in a Byetta group?! Thanks in
advance everyone!!

Becca~

Hey everyone,
I have been pretty sick since last Thursday. I called the doctor this morning,
and they got me in right at 8:45.
It seems I should have called the doctor over the weekend. I have a very bad
lung infection. They wanted to do a chest X-Ray, but we decided to wait after my
first round of antibiotics and if I am not better, well I will go in for one. I
go back in 2 weeks and we will go from there. I may not be around much while I
am trying to get better. So if you send me mail or anything, I will get to it
when I feel better. Right now I am really sore from coughing and stuff.

See ya soon!

Chicken fat and glucose control

Saturday, January 17th, 2004

My aunt myrtle uses an ancient healing test and art to control my after
meal glucose. She goes to a local factory farm and gets chicken fat. She
uses this drug and insecticide and hormone saturated fat because the
secrete of the process is that similar attract similar.

By rendering the fat to get the right balance she has me put my left hand
ut to the wrist into the warm chicken fat just before eating. Because
similar attract similar all the toxins are drawn from my body and the
energy flows are balanced again in my body.

She tests my glucose by seeing what color the fat turns after this
treatment. Without fail, after eating a meal with carbs my glucose returns
to near normal levels by two hours. If the color test is off she has me

leave my hand in for a longer or shorter time to get the right effect.
