<description>do carbs cause triglycerides? my Doctor asked me if i ate a lot of carbs
as my triglycerides were high (like DUH my sugars are bad but not THAT
bad). i had not realized there was a connection between the two.

<description>I'm fascinated by the whole concept of energy psychology. I've got a lot
to learn, but this is an area that I know will further help me in most
areas of my life.

<description>Marsha, good grief! What a scenario you had to go through. Glad the
tapping was helpful. Love the name Uther Pendragon. LOL

I've been known to tap only with my hands when I'm in a very public
place and really want to vent, vent, vent. It must look strange, but
perhaps they'll just think I have some sort of tourette tic. LOL

		<description>Hi Janie,

I was a stress bucket before my juvenile law mid-term last week (I'd been
focusing more on a more difficult class and all of a sudden realized &#34;I'M NOT
PREPARED!!!! AGGGGHHH!&#34; Not condusive to study to have one of those moments,
let alone two days of it. Hyperventilation Central, so to speak.

So I tapped and studied and tapped and studied and walked into the exam room,
got started on the tes tand then and was told she was not going to grade it. It
was going to be a practice exam. Oh, and I had to change my name on a
computerized test that would not allow me to do so. It was go forward or stop
the entire thing and start over. The immediate urge to kill was tapped away and
she escaped without ever knowing I was ready to vent steam out of both ears. I
spent two hours on a practice exam. The professor in charge of decrypting the
test and giving it to her said he could not change the name either. I suggested
&lt;!--more--&gt;
a big black marker and gave him the name Uther Pendragon, the only one I could
think of at the moment.

I suppose the good part is that I can now recite Massachusetts General Law 119
which apply to child protection cases. The bad part is that, having tortured us
with it she may not have it on the final and, insofar as I am aware, it is not
on the bar. Oh, well, knowledge is never wasted, but I could have done without
the self-created melt-down. Tap, tap, mutter, mutter.

(smile)

Waiting for my grandkids to show up...they are late. Does this mean I won't be
fixing dinner for them tonight? Well, it is byetta time for me nonethess as my
BG has gone up 10 points in the past two hours.

I've used this technique for stress and during family crises, and it has helped
me.
