High morning BGs after low readings at bed time.
Wednesday, June 4th, 2003Last night, I had a decent dinner of Tofu, green peas, and a whole
wheat tortilla. After about two hours of dinner I noticed that I was
feeling kind of low-sugar-like. So I measured and I was at 73. I was
about to go to bed and I figured I better not risk getting a low sugar
while I am asleep (I do get pre-meal sugars of 55-59 at dinner time
quite often with 10mg Byetta twice a day). So I had about six
tea-spoons of plain yoghurt before I went to bed. I felt safe that
way. In the morning, my sugar was 188! I was surprised because I
expected a lot lower reading since at bed-time it was 73 (before my
six tea-spoons of youghurt). Should I be surprised? Or is it not a big
deal for it to shoot up so high overnight?
I wonder what other people do when they feel they might be getting BG
lows just when they are about to go to bed?
