I took my first shot today….and it’s worked so far!
I am Melissa, from Indiana. I am 33 been diabetes for since 2003.
I also go to weight watchers, and lost 60-80 pounds since Jan this yr…gained
some lost some gained some…LOL I am also physically disabled but cute LOL
And I write poetry as well!

Hi,
I just started Byetta on Dec 20. Experiencing great results, no
nausea…but then I didn’t read the pen to refrigerate! Found that
little tidbit on your message board. Have just been carrying the pen
around in my purse. Wonder if that has anything to do with me not
getting sick. Need to call my doctor to see if I’ve really screwed up.

Hi, my name is Sadiqa. I was diagnosed with type2 diabetes in July of 1999.
I was living overseas at the time, but came back to the States when my aunt
became seriously ill. Since she was a diabetic as well, I started to see her
dr, and endocrinologist and primary care dr. I began to see him after I had
been here for a year. During that time, I gained 50 lbs so he put me on a
nightime dose of Humulin (20u) along with my regular doseage of Glucophage
500 x5, Actos 30, Amaryl 3, and Lescol XL 80. This helped my morning #s
but I gained weight. This doctor died about 2 months ago and when I finally
went to a new dr. I told him I didn’t want insulin anymore. He suggested Byetta
(5 mcg) and I began it Nov 9. I started on 10mcg about a week ago. I’ve had
more nausea on the 10mcg than on the 5mcg but now it seems to be settling down.
I’ve lost about 15 lbs, so I’m very happy with this. I know that if I actually
add
some exercise to the mix, I’d do even better.
I’m happy to be invited to this list as on the other lists I felt very alone in

Yesterday we had our christmas dinner at my mom’s.i had really meant to test my
BS before i ate, but forgot. about 1 hour after lunch wer were talking about the
byetta (cause i was miserably sick) and mom asked about my BS. I took it then.
I had eaten some baked ham, green beans and "green stuff".(creamcheese, fruit,
jello, coolwhip and nuts) My blood sugar was 236. so that was a major
improvement from the 376 after 20 hours of fasting last week. so the stuff
seems to be working. new years i will increase to 10mcg. i can hardly wait. i am
so sick on the stuff now i can’t see straight. but if it is helping i will put
up with it
