		<description>Hi Kat,

I'm doing fine. I saw the nutritionist today who gave me a menu of item I
can eat. I have bloating too. Not much nausea today though. I'm still at
5mcg. I have to have a colonoscopy on Friday just to rule out other issues.
I'll be glad when that's over so that I can see my daughter graduate in
Hawaii!

How are you feeling, Kat?

Sherri Smith

_____

Hi Sherri,
&lt;!--more--&gt;

I was wondering how you are doing. I am on my 13th day and the only
side effect that I now have is bloating. What is up with that? Does
anyone else have major bloating?

So, how did everyone react going from 5 to 10 mcg? Did you have the
side effects all over again? I will start 10 mcg in 2 weeks.

Thanks for all of your help.

<description>Let's see... I was on 5mcg for 2 weeks, just started my 3rd pen. So, 2
1/2 months. I'm amazed at this Gilly stuff. This weight loss has been
essentially effortless. Previously, to lose 10 pounds in two months, I'd
have to be starving all the time and exercisng a lot. Now I still
exercise, but I'm not hungry. I feel satisfied, like a &#34;normal&#34; person
feels, I guess.

&#62; How long did it take you to lose 23 lbs.?</description>

<description>Below is a link to the Sea Bands...they really did help me. They are
knitted accupressure bands. I wore them for 2 days and not the whole
day. The first day I wasn't sure if they worked, but the second day I
could tell they worked. I also tried sugar free mints.

		<description>Sherri,

What day are you on? This is my 6th day.

The only time I weigh myself is at the doctor. I am 5'10&#34; and about
45 pounds overweight. Losing weight would be an added bonus, however
that is not why I am on Byetta. I can tell you that I have weighed
the exact same weight for years - down to the pound. It is
impossible for me to lose weight, but I never gain any either. I eat
healthy and I work out regularly. Who knows, maybe the Byetta will
help with whatever is keeping the weight on my body. You would think
that my weight would fluctuate, even go up...but it is always the
same.

The nausea is just a faded memory now. &#60;grin&#62; I am still bloated,
&lt;!--more--&gt;
but feel better than I have felt in months...maybe even years.

What really helped me was reading the archives of this list and the
blog that someone from this list sent to me. I bought the Sea Bands
and they did help. I am also taking Pepcid AC and recently added Gas-
X to the mix. I am just treating symptoms as they arise.

Each day I feel better, so hang in there!

		<description>Kat,

I just started Byetta too. I'm still in the nausea stage. Has Byetta
helped you lose weight? That's what I'm hoping for myself!

Sherri

_____

Well the nausea has passed.
I am hanging in there waiting for the big reward!

<description>Well the nausea has passed. Thank God! Saturday night my stomach
started bloating. It has gone down a little, but it was so bad
yesterday I couldn't even come close to zipping up my pants.

The good news is that my blood sugar is staying below 140 AND I am
actually sleeping at night. I am not continually thirsty and I wake up
every morning refreshed. The nausea is just a memory...now to get over
this bloated tummy.

I am hanging in there waiting for the big reward!
