a side affect of Byetta or something else

Today, I woke up with something like indigestion and it is staying with me all
day. I have pain in the chest, mostly the right side and I don’t think it’s
anywhere near my heart. I had a soda today to see if I could get rid of what
ever it was, and it worked some, but not entirely. It’s not severe pain yet and
it just started today, so I didn’t want to alert my Doctor yet unless it gets
any worse. When first starting Byetta, I was burping a lot until today, and
today I don’t have that problem. Has any one else been through this, or could

How are your BGs? If they are running a little low, that might explain
it. I get like that, too, if I’m coming down with a little flu, or if I
have a slight case of food poisoning (rare of course). At any rate it
    usually passes in a day.

What I have found though is that I have problems with elimination
because it and all of my other meds have that as a side effect. I think
the byetta tips the scales to cause the problem. If it’s been several
days, I will become quite bloated, which passes once elimination
    occurs.

As for the pain in the right side of your abdomen, where is it? The
heart is on your upper left side inside your rib cage, near your
sternum. Your appendix, however is in the lower right quadrant of your
abdomen. It could also be a pulled muscle or a muscle cramp.

Basically, if it is still there in another day or two, or if it gets
significantly worse, I would seek medical attention

    I hope this helps…

I had my A1c done, the first since I began using Byetta in July. I
expected it to be much lower since I’ve had such good numbers, but it
    was still 6.7. I don’t get it… I think I will send a message to my
endo (it’s great, I can email her and get a message back!). I wonder if
it will make a difference as to whether or not my insurance will
    approve it…
